Crandon Yard Sale is This Weekend
Please alert your neighbors that the Crandon Lakes Community Yard Sale will be this Saturday, June 13.
Please note that the Community Yard Sale is THIS SATURAY, June 13.
A "Community Yard Sale" ad will be published in the New Jersey Herald and The Township Journal this week. General signage will lead shoppers to our lake. We ask each home to post their own signage leading to their sale. Scarpulla Field may be used as well.
We are advertising a start and end time of 9 am to 2 pm. Feel free to post alternate times or additional dates on your signage. This time span has proven to be the most active for our area.
We understand that not all residents are online and on Facebook. The Crandon mailing will not get the word out to all residents until the very end of the week. PLEASE MAKE YOUR NEIGHBORS AWARE OF THE SALE. ADDITIONAL SIGNS WILL GO UP ALERTING THE COMMUNITY ON MONDAY.
Thank you!
CLCC Website
Points to note about our new website.
The new Crandon website is now live (here you are!)
Here are just some reasons why our new site is so cool:
- All Crandon events will be listed with additional information. This will help to answer any questions that you may have regarding each event.
- You can add each event to your Google Calendar or ICS with the click of a button. If you have your personal calendar set up for alerts, then you will be alerted. All of the event info fills in your calendar once you click!
- Events can be easily published to social media.
- We now have a "news feed." Anything that the community needs to know will be posted here. You can subscribe to "CLCC Community Updates." If you do, you will receive an email at 8 am ONLY IF a news post has been added. (Please note that after signing up for alerts, you must also confirm. Also note that emails are sent confidentially.)
- You can comment on and follow each news post. (Comments will be monitored.)
- All CLCC forms are on the "resources" page. Some of these forms are boat registration, pavilion and beach reservation, etc.
Enjoy! We hope you enjoy it.
A test email will be going out today at noon.

Alert! Coyotes
Please be on alert — coyotes have been seen in the area. Take these few precautions.
Be advised that coyotes have been spotted in our area.
Please be sure that your pets are safe.
Fish & Wildlife offers the following tips for avoiding encounters:
- Never feed a coyote. Deliberately feeding coyotes puts pets and other residents in the neighborhood at risk.
- Feeding pet cats and/or feral (wild) cats outdoors can attract coyotes. The coyotes feed on the pet food and also prey upon the cats.
- Put garbage in tightly closed containers that cannot be tipped over.
- Remove sources of water, especially in dry climates.
- Bring pets in at night.
- Put away bird feeders at night to avoid attracting rodents and other coyote prey.
- Provide secure enclosures for rabbits, poultry, and other farm animals.
- Pick up fallen fruit and cover compost piles.
- Although extremely rare, coyotes have been known to attack humans. Parents should monitor their children, even in familiar surroundings, such as backyards.
- Install motion-sensitive lighting around the house.
- Clear brush and dense weeds from around dwellings - this reduces protective cover for coyotes and makes the area less attractive to rodents and rabbits. Coyotes, as well as other predators, are attracted to areas where rodents are concentrated like woodpiles.
- If coyotes are present, make sure they know they're not welcome. Make loud noises, blast a canned air siren, throw rocks, or spray them with a garden hose.
Community Garden
If you are interested contact Paul Rockwood as soon as possible at prockwo@gmail.com
The original plots that were laid out have all been taken. The garden has already taken form, and dozen or so residents are working like busy bees! I think if there is interest, I can squeeze out an extra plot or two. If you have been sitting on the fence about this, c'mon take the plunge you won't regret it and you will also meet some of your Lake neighbors. Again, this is the final call for you to plant and harvest your own inexpensive ORGANIC veggies!
If you are interested contact Paul Rockwood as soon as possible at prockwo@gmail.com

Boating Information
Our lake regulations concerning boating and a link to the Crandon Lake boat registration form.
All boats on Crandon Lake are required to display our large, red "Crandon Lakes Country Club" stickers. There should be one of these on each side of the boat for easy visibility. The purpose of these stickers is to make sure that unauthorized people are not using our facilities.
Remember, these are permanent stickers that do not have to be replaced once they have been applied.
If you see a boat on our lake without these stickers, chances are they do not belong here. Please help out by challenging them, and calling the State Police at 973-383-1515 to report them as trespassers.
Please be courteous, and have some consideration for other residents. After launching your boat, DO NOT park your vehicle in the boat ramp.
Download the CLCC Boat Registration Form. This form should be completed and returned to the lake office. It may be dropped in the door mail slot should the office be closed.
