Community Garden
It's time to plant our community garden!
Since Spring is here again, once again it is time to start thinking about a plot in our Community Garden. Residents who had a plots last year can keep them, with the possibility of expansion depending on availability. If you are interested please contact me ASAP. We will continue to provide top soil, as needed, but remember you are responsible for putting up a border around assigned spots as well as maintaining and weeding your bed. Board staff will try and water regularly but ultimately, you are responsible for your plot.
So please let me know if you are interested and I will put you on a list. The plots are already marked out. Let me know and I will assign you a spot and Board office will have the diagram of the site.
More to follow but first send me an email so I can put you on the list. We are hoping to have all the plots assigned and have an active community garden!
We will be buying some new equipment so any ideas are welcomed.
Thx

Community Garden 2016
To those who have community garden plots and those who may be interested for 2016 —
I fought weeds and the weeds won! ...
Hi
Our community garden has had a very successful year. All the plots were filled and we may possibly expand going into next year. If you are interested in joining us next Spring, please let me know by year's end. Those of you that have had plots, please do some weeding before the Winter freeze sets in.
The last veggie holdout has been Kale in one of the community plots. If you want some, please cut some off. I believe this will continue to grow for another month. There is also peppermint growing on one of the paths. I'm sure the owner wouldn't mind cutting some of it back.
So again if you were thinking of growing free, organic vegetables next Spring let me know.
Thx

The original plots that were laid out have all been taken. The garden has already taken form, and dozen or so residents are working like busy bees! I think if there is interest, I can squeeze out an extra plot or two. If you have been sitting on the fence about this, c'mon take the plunge you won't regret it and you will also meet some of your Lake neighbors. Again, this is the final call for you to plant and harvest your own inexpensive ORGANIC veggies!
