New Events Added
Music and yoga dates have been added into the fall!
YOGA
Please note that "Yoga" will continue during the same day and time — Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, as long as weather allows. Stay tuned to Facebook for details.
Instructor Kristi Meng of Prana for Peace Yoga will lead this morning class with the beautiful backdrop of our lake. Please bring a yoga mat and water. The workout is done barefoot.
Cost per class is $5.
MUSIC
An additional performance from the popular "RENO the Band" has been added to our lake calendar. Come out and enjoy the music on Saturday, September 23rd from 4 pm to 8 pm.
"RENO the Band" are local performers who play for the love. All proceeds collected by RENO goes right toward a local cause of their choosing.
Come on out and see why the Crandon community loves RENO!

Community Garden
It's time to plant our community garden!
Since Spring is here again, once again it is time to start thinking about a plot in our Community Garden. Residents who had a plots last year can keep them, with the possibility of expansion depending on availability. If you are interested please contact me ASAP. We will continue to provide top soil, as needed, but remember you are responsible for putting up a border around assigned spots as well as maintaining and weeding your bed. Board staff will try and water regularly but ultimately, you are responsible for your plot.
So please let me know if you are interested and I will put you on a list. The plots are already marked out. Let me know and I will assign you a spot and Board office will have the diagram of the site.
More to follow but first send me an email so I can put you on the list. We are hoping to have all the plots assigned and have an active community garden!
We will be buying some new equipment so any ideas are welcomed.
Thx

No Crandon Easter Event
Please note that there will not be an Easter event, hosted by Crandon Lakes this year due to lack of volunteers.
The annual Easter Event and Egg Hunt, hosted by Crandon Recreation that was originally planned to take place on the Sunday before Easter will not take place. We have not had anyone offer to volunteer to this event.
Unfortunately, cancellations are going to become more frequent if we do not have sufficient help to carry out the recreational calendar.
Please see information on the Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Hampton and Kittatinny, which is listed on this site, as an alternative.
Thank you —
Volunteers Needed!
Many of our usual Crandon Recreation events will have to be cancelled, due to lack of volunteers.
Many of the Crandon Lake Recreation events that we hold annually are threatened, due to lack of volunteers. Among those events is our well-attended Easter Egg Hunt.
This event is scheduled for April 9th, the Sunday before Easter. We have been searching (via Facebook) for an adult or two to organize this event. The event coordinator would be supplied with a budget. In the past, this event has been a quick craft as guests gather, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and finally, an egg hunt at East Beach. The lake already owns much of the supplies needed (including a bunny suit).
Many look forward to this and other regular lake events. It would be sad to see them go.
Please reply to boardofdirectors@crandonlakes.org to state your interest.
Thank you!

News about the Crandon geese population.
In pursuance of a federal depredation tag, Ed Dippel was hired by CLCC to remove the over population of geese, by shotgun. Please be informed that this action may happen between sunrise and sunset, Monday thru Saturday, effective today thru 7/31/17.
No need for alarm — this is a goose removal process and will be done in conjunction with none lethal practices, as set forth, by NJ Fish Game and Wildlife.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
