New Non-Smoking Guidelines
The Board fielded a concern at the annual share-owners meeting about smoking at our community sponsored pavilion events, e.g. music events. The request was to designate the main area of the event as non-smoking, and to assign an area specifically as the smoking area. Community members in attendance were supportive. The Board voted unanimously to approve this suggestion. This will begin at this week’s concert (6/27/25). There are many reasons for this including public health, exposure to children, issues with second hand smoke from various substances, etc. Please note that the specific approach is being worked on and will be trialed by our Lake Patrol on Friday. Please follow their initial guidance as we refine the approach. Eventually, we will formally codify in our rules and regulations and post signs as a reminder.
This is a health issue, which we believe as a Board is important for the benefit of our community that we take this action at this time.
